As a massage therapist, my job is to help you reduce muscle tension associated with either stress, postural imbalances, or other conditions. I use a variety of techniques such as Swedish, direct or indirect myofascial techniques, trigger point therapy.
The many benefits of massage therapy include: relaxation/stress reduction, improved circulation, joint mobility, and tissue health. Therapeutic massage also helps relieve pain, discomfort, and contributes to your overall state of well-being.
You can choose whether you want a general relaxation massage to de-stress or a treatment-based massage that focuses on a specific area (ie. shoulders, neck, legs, etc). At the end of a massage some home self-care options may include stretches to lengthen/loosen tighter muscles or strengthening exercises for longer/weaker muscles.
