Sports Massage

    Sports massage is ideal prior to and following athletic activities. Since each sport or workout places different demands on the soft tissues, the therapist will tailor a massage specific for the athletes needs. Various techniques are integrated into a swedish massage, and can include quick and vigorous techniques, stretches, joint mobilizations, and lymphatic drainage.
    Sports massage can help prevent injuries to the soft tissues and joints, as well as facilitate repair of overexerted or strained muscles by increasing blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, which will help reduce swelling, muscle fatigue as well as muscle tension.
